The itinerary begins at The Palace Hotel, Madrid, closely connected to the Royal District thanks to its regal origins. Commissioned and inaugurated by King Alfonso XIII, the hotel has been home to more than 110 years of history and culture. Since its early days, it has witnessed the cultural soul of Madrid and the city’s evolution into a cosmopolitan European capital. We then will move into the world of the Royal Monasteries, including the Monasterio de las Descalzas Reales and the Real Monasterio de la Encarnación, where silence, sacred art, and royal stories reveal the spiritual and courtly life of the 16th and 17th centuries.

From there, the tour opens onto Plaza de Oriente. In this monumental setting, the equestrian statue of Philip IV and the opportunity to witness ceremonies such as the Changing of the Royal Guard connect past and present in a single gesture. Facing the square, the Teatro Real introduces visitors to the city’s cultural dimension, evoking centuries of music, opera, and performing arts.

The itinerary culminates at the Royal Palace of Madrid, one of Europe’s most imposing residences, where the city’s history reaches its fullest expression, and continues through the Sabatini Gardens and Campo del Moro, where nature, history, and architecture merge in a setting of serenity and beauty.

Departing from The Palace Hotel, Madrid, this tour brings guests into a neighbourhood that has reinvented itself, transforming its industrial past into one of the driving forces of Madrid’s contemporary art scene.
