A creative Madrid revealed door by door
The “Made in Madrid” experience, curated and guided by Heather Evans, who was born in the United States and has been based in Madrid for nearly two decades, offers an international perspective on the city’s fashion, craftsmanship, and creative talent. Through a journey of over three hours in the Salamanca neighbourhood, it invites guests to discover a form of luxury expressed through craftsmanship, design, and local savoir-faire.
The experience begins with a gesture as simple as it is evocative: savouring the history of Madrid at La Pajarita, the historic Madrid chocolate shop founded in 1852, where traditional flavours serve as an introduction to the city’s living history. From there, the journey unfolds as a succession of encounters with talent.
Next, the tour continues into the atelier and boutique of one of Spain’s most distinctive and avant-garde designers, Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada. A space where creativity is expressed without limits, from runway pieces to proposals full of humour and personality.
The third stop offers the opportunity to meet and speak with the creators behind Mimoki, the iconic Madrid-based haute couture millinery and accessories brand founded in 2008, where each piece is conceived and crafted by hand. A space where tradition, innovation, and aesthetic sensibility come together to create unique pieces that reflect the brand’s creative spirit.
After a pause to refresh at La Anxoita, the tour continues to the atelier of Madrid-based jewellery designer Suma Cruz, an intimate space where each piece is conceived and crafted on site, revealing a creative process inspired by nature, culture and imagination.
The tour concludes at Casa LOEWE, the flagship store of the historic Madrid house founded in 1846, where fashion, contemporary art and architecture come together in a setting that reflects the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship and culture.
Throughout the tour, encounters with creators, shared stories, and the unhurried pace of the walk turn the experience into an authentic immersion in Madrid’s most creative side.
